I'm sure we've all heard about the death of Osama bin Laden. If you haven't, then you must be living under a rock.

Our New York based photographer was in New York City's Time Square to capture the wild celebrations that took place after news broke out that he died from a gun shot in a compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan.

in New York City were generally well behaved.

US President Obama's announcement of Osama bin Laden's death
was a great night for those who believe in freedom.

You wouldn't want to be a terrorist supporter amongst these mob.

The big New York crowds waved American flags around
and chanted in celebration, shouting "USA! USA! USA!"

The American people believe that justice has been served
now that 9/11 mastermind Osama bin Laden is dead.

The death of Osama bin Laden provoked scenes of
jubilation in New York and across America.

The Americans are very passionate about their country,
and they want peace and human dignity.

The death of Osama bin Laden doesn't bring closure for those who suffered,
but it represents a major victory in the global war on terror.

What a big night it was for the New Yorkers.

Yes, he was quite clever to be hiding for such a long period of time, when many others were killed or captured over the years.

But he also showed his dumb side, to live in a $1 million mansion with no telephone or internet connection.
