Heavy rain, pouring down on me all the time. roxette had a song for it.

Good memory for me during my stay in vientiane decades ago, we visited the Gate, I don't know it's name in the downtown, heavy rain came, and my friend got a natural call. Well, to do or not to do, a real question then.  ;D. We got too much Beer Lao. ;D

Mostly all of the residents in Ban Naxay are Vietnamese. From posh restaurants, karaoke, girly salon, typical day to day food outlets, you name it, they got it...all fully Vietnamese...some of them don't even speak Laos. Infact I like that place...go for a hair wash (girly salon) in the morning, lunch with some fresh water prawns (grilled) and crabs..beer Lao or Heineken or maybe some Vietnamese brand beer, later head over for some massage 2 hrs, finally...songs and beer again....occupied one full day..Relaxing   ;D ;D 8-) :D :applause

9-10 am will be fine. Just one precaution, don't eat at one restaurant (can't remember the name) at the very end of the Naxay road, corner shop with rather posh decoration..OMG the price is horrible...they grilled your pocket to eat their grilled prawns.  :o :o

Well I do like Vietnamese food and Viet girls. Will see what Laos will be like in 30-50 year. Some of the Lao government officals are half Viet. Many Lao student already speak Vietnamese, and about 800 Lao a year study in Vietnam. Some say there's about 1 million Vietnamese in Laos :)

Rain on my skin
I feel a gentle summer wind
In your eyes
I can see the deep blue sky

Let it rain
Let it colour all my skin
Let it rain
Wash away my doubts and pain

I wanna discover
I don't wanna make believe

Let it rain
Down on me
Let it rain down
Let it raaaiiinnn..
Let it raaaiiinnn..

It's just a Thai word for the "New Year".

In Laos, we call it "Songkhan".

Thai people use a lot of tongue twisting "R" in their words.

It's difficult to spell it in English.

Lao is a tonal language, a written word in English can have different meanings.
