Judy Garland had the sparkle in her eyes and the talent that would see her become a key player for MGM studios, helping them to profit over 100 million dollars which was a lot of money in those days.

Below is a young Judy Garland with Mary Astor, her onscreen mother, in a promotional photo for "Listen, Darling" before starring in her breakthrough role as Dorothy in "The Wizard of Oz" a year later. Mary Astor also played Judy Garland's mother in "Meet Me in St. Louis".

I love the songs in Listen, Darling 1938. I think "Zing! Went The Strings Of My Heart" is the famous song as Over The Rainbow within Judy Garland's Records. However, I like "Ten Pins In The Sky" more than others in the movie. Indeed, I love those songs. And one other song in the movie that is "On The Bumpy Road to Love".

And I forgot to say, I would recommend the Swing Version of Zing! Went The Strings Of My Heart. It's more fun ;)
