Travel in Laos (Read 20316 times)

I want to add a question to this thread. When you are in Laos, where do you have to go to arrange a trek through the countryside? I've seen videos on youtube of some Europeans going with a Lao tour guide into the countryside and visiting some Akha villages and other villages in the mountains.

I love the mountain scenery. Is there anywhere you can go to schedule one of these trips?

I know how to speak Lao, and a little bit of Hmong, but I am learning more Hmong now. I can also read Lao..I was just wondering where is a good place to set up these expeditions.
