Title: Fortune teller

An elderly fortune teller on the streets of Vientiane reads ordinary playing cards to determine a woman's fortunes and what the future holds for her.

There's no specific price, it depends on your heart but it's generous to give her at least 10,000 kip ($1.20 US) for a session.

How much money you give her will determine how much time she spends with you. So basically the more you give her, the more she will look deeper into your problems, fortune, future and anything you want to know.

Maybe she had a job during her young adulthood. She's old now so she doesn't need a real job, and nobody will hire her anyway.

By providing fortune telling services on the streets, she could be making around 100,000 kip ($12 US) a day if she is lucky. That is more than what most jobs in Laos will pay their employees.

Laos need to adapt the new way of Government Structures to help thier citizen to have a better life. There are only about 6.5 mil ppl living in hug land with the rich nature resources.

There will be jobs if the Gov are willing to create.
There will be ways if the Gov are willing to pave.
There will be light in the city if the pockets are willing to turn upside down(Big jars were over flow and little jars were empty).

There are no jobs cause the Viet Govt doesn't care about the Laos people, they only care about themselves getting rich.

After 30 some odd years, they didn't do anything. Do you think they are going to start now? They spent money to build a stadium for the SEA games so that they can look good to other nations but do you think the Laos people got to see any of that money? They banned the tuk tuk's from coming near the games cause it would make Laos look poor to visitors.

The reason the Viet Govt doesn't do anything to help the people is because they don't want them to become "smart" and know the "truth" and then retake the country. The only way they can keep power is to hold the Laos people down by keeping them in poverty and uneducated. Once they have run out of money, they will have no power anymore and there will be another revolution. Hopefully this time, power will be given back to the Laos people to determine their own futures.

The Lao Government must have done something because many things have changed since 30 years ago. I'm not saying that they are doing everything right, but they have done certain things right.

Of course they need to build a decent stadium for the SEA games. Do you want the athletes from international countries to play sport in a local park?

Tuk Tuks and Jumbos slows down traffic, so it makes sense to ban them from certain areas of Vientiane.
