Hello I'm wondering how many Laos citizens or average people have internet access in their home or school. I don't see many Laos people on the internet and I tried to find some penpal from Laos or Vietnam before but don't see it often. Actually I joined few asian penpal websites before and have some good friends but wondering about these statistics.

What do you think Admin? you live in Laos country yes?

Anyway what are the most popular languages in Laos... many people can speak various language there like Vietnamese or Chinese?

Goingdown, I don't know the percentage of Lao residents with internet access at home, but I imagine there'd be very little. Universities and colleges have an internet connection. There's also lots of public internet cafes in Laos, especially in capital Vientiane.

Lao is the official language and it is the main language used in Laos. A typical Laotian person can't speak Vietnamese or Chinese, but we can speak Thai fluently when required and also some English.

I have met some from laos in chat rooms, almost all use the internet from the office or university they work for. I try to talk to them in english  :P my lao aint that good

well from my experience, there's three options at home for internet connection in Vientiane : Dial-up, DLS and 3G. of course they refer to 3G as the USB :p
