Title: Rooster fighting in Laos
Post by Lao Pride Administrator on 23rd Sep, 2010 at 4:43am
This chicken or rooster is being treated after it was used in a fight.

This cruel and barbaric gambling event is common in the countryside of Laos, where roosters are being specially bred for the purpose of fighting.

Sadly, the roosters would fight to death, and if it wins, the owner earns money, and anyone who puts their money on the winning rooster.

Animals crulty. Dog fight, roster fight is a felony in the US. Some Lao Hmong got in trouble  for that here.

Dog fight? That's sad.

There's lots of animal cruelty happening around the world. In England, a woman threw a live cat in a bin. In Australia, people are torturing and killing kangaroos. In many parts of Asia, beers are locked away for their bile. So many problems.

dog fighting, chicken fighting just an alternative way to earn a living. fat dogs and cats is a waste of space in my opinion.

Longhang,

There is NO justification for animal cruelty!

As for fat cats -is this literal or metaphorical?-and dogs wasting space, it would be more bebeficial to consider the many people in your country and mine that choose to live of welfare rather than work for a living. They not only consume space but, more importantly, resources. Those resources could provide education to under priveliged children in our countries and to poor children in Laos and other Asian countries.

You're talking about 'fights' in the US, right? I don't think ANYONE in Laos is THAT jai yay to wager 3k in one hit! I think those kinds of figures are well over of their budgets.

However.........I may be wrong. :-?
