I am planing to go to this year Boun that Luang. Anyone have the same plane as me? I will be there around 15/11/2010 till 23/11/2010. I go there just specially for this festival and the Adm did tell me it's going to be very big this year. I would like to ask adm about where to take my wife for a nice good dinner(Laos or Chinese food) have live musice. I hope you can help me on this....Thank you.

One week in Laos is quite a short trip.

The local taxi and jumbo drivers knows nearly everywhere around Vientiane, so you could ask them to take you to a nice restaurant with live music.

You will never give a straight answer! some time I wander you live in Laos. You mention in other post you like to dine in the best restaurant around Vientiane. but when I asked you where to go...you best answer is to ask the Taxi and tuktuk driver to take me?

I don't remember ever saying that I like to dine in the best restaurant around Vientiane.

However, I do remember saying "I don't often go out for dinner" and that I work hard and stay at home. I also mentioned that there are nice restaurants in the Nam Phou area and Don Chan Palace, if you keep up with what's been discussed on Lao Pride.

I do apology for not follow your post lately and misunderstood you! How ever, Vientiane is a small city, I am sure you have talk to your camera-man that took some of the photos for your post about where to dine or go for entertainment establishment.

Vientiane is actually a big city, in terms of area, but the shopping and entertainment places are limited.

I'm a busy woman, working 7 days a week, so I usually don't eat out. If I do, it's just to order a bowl of noodles on the streets for a dollar. I don't go to fancy restaurants with live music, which is what you're after.

The photos of the entertainment establishments taken by our cameraman are not appropriate places for a married man and his wife to be dining.

Ooh...I see, Thsed entertainment establishes have a lot of influences over this website. I understand that you have a business to run and working so hard.
I take a short trip for Laos it's because I have not been back to Boun Thad Luand for over 35 years. I am looking forward to this visit. Over years, I have been back around 15 time. But never be able to attend Boun Thad Luang.
