Today in Sydney,Australia is Boun Pee mai Lao at the temple.I couldn't resist to take some photo I'm sorry about the quality of the photos it's was a cloudy day. I didn't have my good camera with me at the time. all I have was Nokia camera phone.

Thank you for sharing the photos. Seems like a lot of the Lao community attended the event. An early celebration, but I guess it needed to held on the weekend.

Very nice pics of Lao peoplr in Sydney. How many Lao people would you think resides in Sydney and Australia in general? Is Lao New Year always be on April 14-16 every year?

Look like a big fun party in Australia. I'll posted some new year picture when I go to Lao temple in Farmington, MN.

I don't know exactly how many..but according to this document around 30,000(http://home.vicnet.net.au/~lao/laostudy/ozlaoorg.htm)
Since childhood all I remember was always on these date....

It's probably Dallas that you are referring to the block party because Dallas has more Lao population than in Houston.

A good 5 hours. I would say about 10,000 Lao in Houston but I do not really know them becuase I am a banana ::).
