Dorothy and her friends soon arrive at the Emerald City and she rings the bell to get in, but a porthole opens and a doorman tells them to knock.
They knock and tell the doorman they want to see the Wizard but the doorman tells them that "nobody can see the great Oz. Nobody's ever seen the great Oz. Even I've never seen him."
Dorothy tells the doorman that she was sent by the Good Witch of the North and when he sees the ruby slippers she is wearing he admits them.
A coachman arrives in a carriage pulled by a white horse. He explains that he is a horse "of a different colour," and, sure enough, the horse changes into different colours of the rainbow.
