The Wizard of Oz sweetheart, Judy Garland lived in a complete bubble during her life.

The demands of her ambitious mother and then the film studio effectively robbed Miss Garland of a normal childhood, whilst at the same time forcing her to maintain her "girl next door" image and a punishing work schedule with near-starvation diets and amphetamines.

They say there's a price to pay for being a superstar in the Golden Age of Hollywood, and Judy Garland had to bear the brunt of it.

She did not drink much?

Judy Garland drank because socializing was part of her commitments, so she learnt and became hooked on drinking through parties and functions.

You wouldn't find many celebrities in the Golden Age of Hollywood who didn't drink. She didn't drink when she was young though.

The bad thing is drinking whilevnot a célèbre. ;D

That's right, celebrities have a chauffeur to pick them up.
