The Wizard of Oz beauty, Judy Garland was one of the hottest female celebrities on screen and off it.

The talented singer-actress wasn't regarded as a sex symbol during her time, but nevertheless she was breathtakingly beautiful with great legs, most noticeable when she sang "Get Happy" in Summer Stock (1950 MGM film).

She was photographed in Beverly Hills.

I'm not familiar with the locations in Los Angeles so I don't know where the background is.

This is a young Judy Garland playing with her Pekingese dogs at home. She is yet to perform in The Wizard of Oz when this photo was taken but it would have only been just months away. She definitely had that cute and youthful look about her.

What's quite noticeable is that she had quite a large chest for a teenage girl, which apparently became a problem for the studio. They did their best to keep it down with tape tightly wrapped around her in an attempt to make her look younger as Dorothy.

People in those days dressed very formally with class, even the directors wore a suit and tie to work. Nowadays they wear anything casually such as a pair of jeans.

Not only that, but the hairstyle for both genders is neat. I just love the fashion in Judy Garland's days.

Judy Garland was definitely happy to be cast as Dorothy. She was crying at home when the studio had other girls in mind, but she became the happiest girl on earth when she was given the all-clear.
