The Clock (1945) is remembered as one of the rare movies that Judy Garland doesn't actually sing, and also her romance with Vincente Minnelli who was the director. They got engaged at the end of shooting, then married a few months later. Judy Garland gave birth to Liza Minnelli the next year, the eldest of her three children.

Like many of her earlier movies, Judy Garland was an absolute beauty in The Clock. At 22 years old, she lived in a rented home but moved in with the director, Vincente Minnelli, early in filming and that's when their romance began to blossom.

The Clock took MGM about 4 months to produce the film. Filming started on August 1, 1944 and finished on November 21, 1944. The movie was released 6 months later on May 25, 1945.

The film's total cost was $1,324,000. As a comparison, The Wizard of Oz in 1939 cost $2,777,000 for MGM to produce, so Vincente Minnelli's The Clock was half the production cost of Victor Fleming's The Wizard of Oz.

I wonder how her 2 siblings looked like ::).  They are probably not as famous as Liza because I have nver heard of the two from Judy.

Liza Minnelli is more successful as an entertainer, and well-known internationally than her two siblings, who are probably just famous in America.

Even in America, not everyone knows Lorna and Joey Luft.

I don't blame you because the both of them are not in the media much.

They are both still alive. Lorna Luft is also in show business herself but she has been out of the limelight in recent years. Joey Luft has always lived a low-key life as a photographer.

Liza Minnelli, on the other hand, is in the public eye often and she has won many major awards including an Oscar, Golden Globes and an Emmy.

I would class Liza and Lorna as "celebrity" status, and Joey is normal like the rest of us.
