Title: How I got my tan.

This is how I got my tan. I wasn't really trying to get a tan, but I couldn't stay out of the sun.

Very nice scenery. Obviously if you are on a holiday, you can't avoid the sun. It wouldn't be fun sitting in your guesthouse or hotel room.

I assume these images are from the southernmost part of Thailand? Perhaps the shorelines of the Gulf of Thailand?

I am hoping Vientiane will never look or behave like Bangkok.

I dont mind if Laos is modernize like Bangkok, but don't want to see high crime rates, drug and prostitution.  ;)

Agree and not in our lifetime.  Eventually if Vientiane does get to that point then Vientiane will become 'Bangkok' (to a certain extent).

Bangkok has about 10 million people. Vientiane around 750,000. Never say never. They're working with Japanese and Chinese company modernized Vientiane, and make it livable . Vientiane population will also double in 2030.

They got some nice YouTube video on Vientiane development.

10 million in Bangkok, wow that's alot of folks!

Would be awesome if all folks from rural areas can migrate to the metropolis (Vientiane, Savanakhet, Luang Prabang, and Pakse...).

Many young Lao are migrating to the city to look for jobs. Sometime going to Bangkok. :)

I see and we all agree that almost all folks living in the rural regions are still living off the land as rice farmers, hunters and gatherers?  Job options in the metropolis will make folks move into cities and folks will become less dependence on the land.

Agreed. Rural is still undeveloped and lack of jobs, opportunity for young people.
