Thailand took about half of Laos territory Isan region in 1907 and 20 million Lao population. Can you imagine what Laos will be like today if Laos is too time bigger and population of 26 million instead of 6.5 million now.

Lao people in Laos is only 3.6 million out of 6.5 million. The rest are ethnics minority. In Thailand there about 20 million Lao people. Lao live in US, Europe, Australia, Latin America, Vietnam, Cambodia, Japan. All over the world :)

At least Laos is peaceful. Government is opening up since the 80's and trying to developed the country.
