We take you a look inside Judy Garland's childhood home, where she lived from birth in 1922 to 1926. This dwelling is located in Grand Rapids, in the state of Minnesota. Now a museum, it remains an everlasting memory of how Judy Garland and her family once lived.
Compared to Michael Jackson's small and cramped house occupied by a large family, Judy Garland's two-storey property in the 1920's would have felt like a mansion for a young girl.
Judy Garland was singing with her two older sisters at the time so she was still a future movie star in the making. Her mother, Ethel Gumm, would have kept their home clean and well maintained considering that only girls lived here and their dad during their short five year stay.
I would put Judy Garland's family in the middle-class or upper middle-class category of Americans.
