We are making another pair of ruby slippers which should be finished before Christmas.

Meditation is required to get this done. In order to make high quality ruby slippers to the exact details as the originals worn by Judy Garland as Dorothy, you have to step your game up a heck of a lot.

Hand-sewn ruby slippers is incredibly hard to make and that's why you can't just pop into a shop and buy a pair, there's none because they are not simple to produce.

Follow along with our progress on this thread as we work hard behind the scenes to bring you a really stunning pair of ruby slippers. You won't find ruby slippers like ours anywhere else but here.

This is Judy Garland's ruby slippers during the early stages of our work. There's still a long road ahead and we have to grind our way through it because it's all part of ruby slipper making at the highest level. Lots and lots of sewing to do!

Judy Garland's size 5B ruby slippers is looking quite nice. The red sequins is slowly beginning to cover this side of the ruby slippers, and our job is far from over. The "jewels" on the bow is identical to the originals, and they are also hand-sewn.

We are probably behind in terms of where we would like to be at with our work, with Christmas fast approaching, but that's okay because we don't want to rush with anything.

The stitching at the front of the shoe looks beautiful and professional, and we've also got the authentic Innes Shoe Company label inside.      

There's so much sewing it's not even funny. If you don't meditate through it, you can easily get bored and give up after 10 stitches. I'm one of the most experienced hand-sewn ruby slipper makers in the world but there's always challenges to make ruby slippers beautiful.

This pair of ruby slippers comes with some free souvenirs to the new owner. They include a few photos of Judy Garland as Dorothy, her keyring, and three real one dollar notes.

This shoe is nearly there and Judy Garland is looking absolutely gorgeous here. We just need to sew the sequins along the top of the shoe, as were the originals that covers the entire shoe.

You can really see the red shine now and we are pretty happy with the ruby slippers so far. We still haven't started with the second shoe and the work involved with that will take a lot of days too.

Stunning is an understatement, this pair of ruby slippers is nothing short of exquisite. Our job is not done yet because crafting high quality ruby slippers is a marathon, not a sprint.

We are racing against time to finish this pair of ruby slippers before Christmas so we must stay focused on the task at hand.

The attention to detail is just phenomenal as we continue the tedious task of sewing tiny sequins one by one.

Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios would accept this re-creation pair of ruby slippers for Judy Garland as Dorothy to wear in The Wizard of Oz because they are made with the exact materials and technique as the originals.

We have finished our work with this gorgeous pair of ruby slippers. It's very hard work, let me tell you, to recreate the most famous pair of shoes in the world. We pride ourselves on the care and attention to detail, and in the end we are very happy with the way they turned out.

This magical pair of ruby slippers in is mint condition, and is the exact shape and size to the original ruby slippers that Judy Garland as Dorothy wore in the Munchkinland scene. It's small, it's slim, and it's sexy!
