This will be the last time that these custom-made size 5B shoes will be used to make Judy Garland's ruby slippers, so order them while you can. We have enjoyed sequining these shoes over the years and they are beautiful and sold with success, but we have decided that it's time to move on and work with another shape.

The right shoe has an Innes Shoe Company label made from satin, and the top of both shoe has "#7 Judy Garland" written with a black fountain pen. The bottom of the shoes has been painted glossy red, so we are ready to begin sewing the sequins onto the shoes.

We will be using these two high quality bows on the ruby slippers. All the stones and beads is hand-sewn onto a Lao silk fabric overlay and leather.

This base shoes will be going out with a bang. The sequins overlap beautifully and is a sign of a very experienced ruby slipper fashion designer.

There's still many hours of sewing to do on the right shoe, and then we do the same sequining pattern with the left shoe.

The right shoe is nearly finished. The stitching is superb, make no mistake about it.

You have to actually own a pair of ruby slippers from our company to see how beautiful they really are. The fact is that we have made more hand-sewn ruby slippers than anyone in the world.

We are working hard on the left shoe and the sequins are so perfectly aligned. Slowly, but surely this beautiful pair of ruby slippers is closer to getting finished.

Judy Garland's ruby slippers is finished and we couldn't be happier with the way they turned out. We will no longer use this custom-made base shoes to craft our ruby slippers so this is the last one, and is worth having as part of your Oz collection.

The sequining job is beautiful, you can see how neat the 4,600 odd sequins have been sewn onto the shoes. The bows are just as impressive and they look near identical to the bows that MGM Studios made for the original ruby slippers.

This is what the soles look like under the ruby slippers. The sequins cover the shoes entirely right to the edge.

The paint is actually glossy red like you see in previous photos, but it appears orange in the photos.

Why is it the last time?

It's the last time with these shoes, but NOT the last we will make ruby slippers so that's the good news for all Oz fans.

The reason for the last time with these shoes is because the way it's made makes sewing extremely challenging on some areas of the shoes. It's always difficult on any base shoes but this pair is frustratingly difficult to work with. Also the leather used for the interior is not up to scratch.

We will be working closely with the shoemaker to make some changes to our custom-made shoes.

The sequining is beautiful, and ruby slippers on these shoes is not available anywhere else. They are here for the taking for one lucky person.
