Our US women's size 6 shoes is nearly finished. Judy Garland as Dorothy mostly wore a pair of size 5B hand-sewn ruby slippers in The Wizard of Oz movie, but MGM studios also crafted a pair or two in size 6 for the young singer-actress.
This is because she stood for a long period of time on the studio set, and also the inside temperature was quite hot from the stage lights so sometimes this caused her feet to become swollen and she required a bigger pair of shoes to make her a bit more comfortable.
We have finished crafting an authentic pair of hand-sewn bows in preparation for our ruby slippers. Everything you see on the bows is custom made to match the original materials. Our high quality glass rectangular stones, rhinestones and bugle beads decorate the silk fabric and leather bows. This pair of bows is as beautiful and perfect as they come.
