Nice article. Laos government know what is going on, they just want to develop the country. China, Vietnam have money and manpower. Corruption is alway a problem in one party system. Just hope Laos don't become like Tibet or Xianjiang.

The Tibet you meet through the media is not the real Tibet. I have been there many times and I can travel freely and do what i want, and I find the Tibet people very open, friendly, honest and welcoming. There is a strong conflict between the old and the new, the young people live almost in a different world, but that is the case in many places around the world.
