Aubuchon Newbie to Lao Pride Offline I love Laos! Posts: 1 Gender:	How do I use my cellphone in Laos? 30^th Jul, 2011 at 12:54pm I'm planning to take a trip to Laos in a few months and I want to bring a cellphone with me. I was just wondering if this was possible and what kind of cellphone should I bring?

The first time I traveled to Lao I just bought a phone there. As I recall I paid less than 30USD for it.

Sim cards are cheap in Laos, however mobile phones are expensive. $30 US is probably the cheapest, and that's for a second hand phone.

My relative bought a brand new phone in America for $15 US.
