Judy Garland was a very dominant force during the Golden Age of Hollywood in the 1930's and 40's, and it's very hard to ignore her impact as the most sought-after female actress for MGM studios.

A beloved figure who will never be forgotten, Judy Garland found herself playing Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz after MGM executives came to the decision in 1938 that her beauty, singing and acting skills had what it took for their most expensive production in those days.

Cuteness at its best. Judy Garland's beauty is clearly evident and timeless in the pictures above. She was the kind of talent that everybody loved to see on stage and screen.

It seems to me she lived her life
Like a candle in the wind
Never knowing who to cling to
When the rain set in
And I would have liked to have known her
But I was just a kid
Her candle burned out long before
but her legend ever did…. Wink
