Schools offering standard curriculum dont not teach Dai language. I am sure. I dont know other regioins in China. If the teacher is Dai, off class, the teacher might speak Dai with Dai students.

I am Chinese Han, born and raised in Xi Shuanbannan.

In many regions of China they have schools that help teach ethnic minorities in their own languages.

That site is actually a useful resource and the information is gathered by researchers
