The famous ruby slippers worn by Judy Garland as Dorothy

The Wizard of Oz star, Judy Garland made the ruby slippers become the world's most famous shoes, when she wore them along the Yellow Brick Road.

Around five or ten pairs of those shoes were made for The Wizard of Oz movie. Only four pairs of slippers are known to have survived, and the others are beyond the reach of collectors.
