I just need a small little house with wall and bathroom so other people don't see me when I sleep. Land is getting expensive in Vietiane thought. My relative bought land for about $15,000 build little house, about 10 year later price went up about $100,000.

I just want to have a house for retirement. I stayed in Chinag Mai Univeristy guesthouse. sweet time.

I googled it some days ago, about 160,000 USD. Very nice. all funtiure stuffed.

Only problem is I have to wait.

I have friend in Bangkok too but i think its alittle bit to crowd for me.I'm like you though about 3 yrs ago i was in Chiang Mai and i really like the area .Plus the people are nice too.
