If that is the case then anyone can use the ruby red slipper product without interfering with intellectual copy right law.

I realise that but it will just look funny to copy an iconic item that is part of an American film history.

Southeast Asians tend to like "gold" more than "ruby", so we could base a movie around a gold pair of shoes.
