Oh yeh... the 'Lao' people in China but they are officialy Chinese?

Ethnic Lao but Chinese citizens. Just like 20 million Lao in Isan. They're Thai citizens speak Thai in public but Lao at home. Eat Sticky rice and papaya salad.

What about Burma, Cambodia and Vietnam? Are there Lao ethnics living in in these coutntires but are citizens of these nations?

Yes Lao also live in Vietnam, Cambodia, USA about 150,000, Japan, France, Canada. Lao population around the world is around 30 million but only 3.6 million in Laos. You know because political situation.

Me either growing up in America. I have to due research myself on Internet. I know a little. Lao government, Thai or American not going to teach us about Laos history.

Because our Lao history is not as 'sexy' as to histories of the surrounding nations Cheesy.  Plus there is not that many people in Laos (3.6 million).

The reason why people migrate is to get better opportunity
for there families. We see it with the Mexicans , Cubans and
many others.My family had to leave cause during the war my dad was a captin.They try to re-educate him in a camp
for 4yrs.I think i would be farming the rice field if we didn't .
I'm very bless to have the opportunity. Wink
